What is All Stars?
All Stars is a select team of athletes chosen to compete in the international Little League tournament.  All Stars teams are based on age.  All Stars teams are built toward the end of regular season and have no bearing on your regular team or season.

Playing for All Stars is very different from our typical recreation-league season. During regular season, we focus on the fun of the game and teaching the sport to children of all levels. All Stars is a highly competitive environment and a team is built for the intention of winning the tournament and progressing to the next level of play.

Selection
Because of the highly competitive nature of All Stars, not every child will be chosen for a team. Unfortunately, even some of our excellent players won't make the team because of several factors.

1. Scouting -- The board is constantly scouting talent. From preseason evaluations, each regular season game,  All Star tryouts, and the Memorial Day tournament -- each one serves as a way for us to evaluate your talent and sportsmanship.

2. Coaches are consulted regarding best-performing kids.

3. Scores from evaluations and stats from GameChanger are reviewed.

4. Any additional considerations are factored in such as sportsmanship, flexibility, specific position needs, etc.

5. Ultimately a group of board members, including the Player Agent, sorts through a list of top athletes in our league (and recuse themselves regarding conflicts of interest).

6. Team building -- we take the list of players who were voted in by the majority based on the above process and build teams by assigning the athletes into the age category where they will best perform. Sometimes, the rosters are then trimmed again if we have too many athletes.
